Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in the television screen as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Fearing stress, her parents were not keen to let performing before she turned 18. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. Her first acting experience was at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, getting small role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry come back to California and pursue a career as an actress in the theater. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015, she starred with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Perry was also featured in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. She played the role of an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. The part was offered to her through audition, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie with the character.
