Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and songwriter. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. It was during her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation at an audition. It not only increased her confidence, but also her goals changed. She graduated from New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail, were her biggest breakthroughs. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played the Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as critical praise. The following year she was made the lead character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. In addition to having a cult following as a singer, she has released two solo albums and an extended piece. In addition, she's an activist who works hard to protect LGBT rights.
